WOOD, glorious WOOD

Ahem, we ran out of dry wood. Dunno how that happened, but we did. We have several cords of green wood that will be perfect for next year. Anyways, Robbie called and found a place that had some kiln dried wood for sale. Prices are amazing, the place we got it was $100 less than another place. Robyn says that the wood is pretty however its not completely dry but better than all green. Its so nice to have a woodfire again. 2 days without the woodstove was pretty chilly. We are use to the mid to high 70's in the house, and it was 64 to 66 with the oil ....... bbrrrrr. I feel bad for those who completely heat with oil!

I will be right over to sit beside the stove! I see Robbie had a helper unloading. Neat photo of the cat peeking. Mom says the cat likes to carry Tiz's nerf shooter around? Now that I'd love to see a video of.

We ran out of wood after New Year's....I don't like not being able to have a fire either! We just got 2 loads - must not run out again. :) Is firewood very expensive up there?

I've tried catching Boots carrying the nerf bullets around, well anything that has foam on it. He "kills" it and then leaves it under the covers on Robbies side of the bed!
Melissa, we paid $250 for a cord of kiln dried wood. But can't complain where its late in the season. We haven't bought wood in forever. Got plenty for the next 2-3yrs drying out back.

They measure wood here in a 'rick' instead of a cord, which I hadn't heard of before. But apparently a rick is the equivalent of a pick-up full, or half a cord. How come they never went over that in math class?!?!
