Homecoming Dance

Here's pictures of the girls before the dance. Course, right now we have heavy down pours, so the poor things will probably be soaked by the time they get into the dance!!

BLUE and GOLD day!!

Today is the final day of homecoming. Its Blue and Gold day. School colors obviously ;) My camera died after taking pictures of her "spirit box" so I'll get those later.

Spirit box you ask? Yes, the field hockey team drew names and then had to make a box and put some of the girls favorite things in it. Robyn got Mary, a Senior and also Captain of the team. Here is the box she (ahem) made. Along with some of the goodies she requested. $25 worth of stuff!!!! Also a surprise was put up for Ashton, Robyn is suppose to get pictures and I'll post later!!

Here's what Robyn and I did for Ashy Anne.....along with some candy - just to show that she's appreciated!!

Question of the Day

Here's a question for you and maybe someone has an answer for her. Elizabeth came home today from school with the following question:

If the homework is to be done on your opinion,
how can the teacher grade you on it? Its
your opinion?

I do believe my nephew, yes Cheryl I know they are from the same mold ;) , had the same question!!

She has lots of thoughts, that we call Tizzisms, that make a lot of sense.

Homecoming day #3

Today is "clash" day!!
The weather for Friday and Saturday isn't looking good. We are suppose to get a tropical rain storm. Which would affect the field hockey game Friday night and football on Saturday. Not to mention the dance on Saturday night. :( Lets hope that its not all that bad after all!

HOMECOMING WEEK!!!!

Its Homecoming week this week, today is pajama day, which Robyn was thrilled to be able to shower, and get back into a pair of jammies!! We went shopping for a dress for the dance on Saturday, her date - Cousin Ashton!!!

I don't get to mention Tiz very often, so here's a picture of her in her new shirt that we got a Kohl's - she loves it! Got it on sale too, which I LOVED!!!

Now its time for me to get ready for my mammogram. Its never too early to remember that October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, so don't forget to get your baseline or annual mammogram done!! I make sure I do it, its not bad and its in honor of my Aunt Roberta who is a breast cancer survivor!!!!

Tribute to Fire and EMS

What an amazing weekend, so far! The 45th annual firemans convention is being held in our little town this year. Opening ceremonies was yesterday and today was the parade. Over 100 apparatus was in it. It was very moving to say the least. Especially to look in my side mirror during it, and seeing everything behind you. Beautiful! Tonight is the banquet and ball, that'll be interesting to say the least!

HAPPY 17th BIRTHDAY ASHY!!!!

A VERY happy 17th birthday to my niece, Ashton!! Ashton is a bright, beautiful, funny, caring, compassionate, outgoing, sensitive, responsible, energetic, witty, sincere, kind person that is fun to be around! She always makes me smile, whether telling a story of her day, or one of her gullible moments.
She has a special spot in my heart, because she was my sisters only daughter born the morning of my wedding day!!

Enjoy your day Ashy Ann and I wish you all the best!!

LOVE YA LOTS!

Auntie

I mentioned above that Ashton was born on my wedding day. Here's a picture of the bouquets of flowers that Robbie got me for our anniversary. The picture doesn't do them justice, and I wish you could smell them!! Happy Anniversary Robbie, I love you more than ever!

Excuse me while I brag!!

Robyn came home after school to get ready for their first scrimmage, saying that she probably wouldn't be playing. After getting to the school to board the bus, I got a text message saying she was going to be goalie for BOTH the varsity and JV games!!! (which prompted Aunt Katie, Tiz, Amelia and I to make a sudden trip to watch the game since it was gorgeous out) From what I understand, the varsity goalie suddenly hurt her back and couldn't play. Robyn was told it was up to her! She played a FABULOUS game, Coach Dickinson was proud of her and kept saying that she played outstanding and stepped up to the plate and gave it her all!! Needless to say, I was very proud of her too! OH....they also won, 5-3!!! Waiting patiently
Getting ready
Other team "picking" on my baby!!!

Day 2........

The second day of school has gone off without any problems. We still got up on time, though I did a 24hr shift, and then went to work at the school - so right now I'm barely able to function. Robyn is liking high school so far. I asked her if she had trouble finding her classes today, she said "nah, just followed everyone and hoped I was going where I was suppose to". She'll be just fine. Elizabeth told me yesterday that the teacher was going to separate some of the chatty girls, my guess is that will include her. :) She gets that from her father! ;)

Ashton picked up Robyn this morning, and the "girls" headed off to school. I've enclosed a picture of "Senior Ashton" and "Freshman Robyn" as well as Elizabeth and Socks.

Robyn has her first scrimmage today at 4, and her first game will be at Hall-Dale on Friday. She can't wait!

First day of school!!!!

The moment you've all been waiting for.........the first day of school pictures! I know, you can barely contain yourselves! Pictures of my now Freshman and Third Grader! Also a picture of Socks, waiting patiently at the bus stop. I'll let you know how it goes when they get home today, it'll be fine for them, Robyn wasn't all that nervous - except she was afraid she'd go in the wrong door or something. Luckily, its just freshman that go today. :)
