The last of ice fishing???

The girls and Robbie went fishing this weekend while I worked. The weather was gorgeous for them. The ice was still over 6" plus thick, but it was slushy on top so they got soaked! Boots are still drying out! They are hoping its not the last time they can be on the ice - but more than likely it is. Anyways - they had fun and finally, after 2 months of fishing in bitter cold for hours at a time - they caught some! Here's a picture of the big catch.
Fishing buddy Matt holding the HUGE fish they caught

The above picture is Elizabeth scooping the slush out of the hole.

Shocking I know, that Robbie is on the cell phone. I do believe its attached to his ear!! The 4wheeler w/tracks in the background so they could ride while waiting for the flag to pop up.

So now that ice fishing is drawing near the end, its time to dig out the fishing poles for regular fishing. Now, this is something I enjoy doing. Nothing better than sitting on a lake or on a dock, in warm sunny weather, casting!

Wow-great photos of the big day ice fishing. Robbie is such a great dad to Robyn and Tiz, and very patient!! How nice that he does fun activities with his girls. I hope they were able to wrestle the HUGE fish into the cooler :) Remember Robyn's first fish at Lake Pemaquid? Her smile was so big. Loved the photo of Tiz sitting in the big chair, Edith Ann comes to mind!

'sitting on a lake or on a dock, in warm sunny weather, casting!" I feel your pain, but spring HAS to arrive before too long. I mean, the sun's brighter and snow HAS melted recently. Let's just keep the faith.
